Tools are a very important thing when it comes to construction careers or even the weekend project. I remember being schooled on how to change the brakes on my car; you needed new brake pads, a crowbar for the lug nuts and a C-clamp. Without the right tool i.e. the C-clamp, you won’t get very far on changing your brakes. The same it is with curing your migraine problem. You must use the right migraine treatment tool for you to eliminate this troublesome nuisance. You first need to understand what a migraine does to your body and then we can smash it with the right tool.
Blood Vessels
A migraine begins when blood vessels in the brain begin to expand and enlarge, causing a chemical to be released. This chemical attacks the brain’s arteries causing the immense and intense pain associated with migraines. This onslaught doesn’t however come upon you always by surprise; there are subtle hint and symptoms that will warn the sufferer that a dreaded migraine is beginning to form. Many researchers, physicians and professionals have spent many hours trying to devise the cure and cause of these occurrences; for they are the number one reason for missed work in the United States.
A Cure?
Cure is an over statement; it’s more like a temporary remedy to ease the symptoms and the efficiency of the pain. Here are a few of the migraine treatment tools at your disposal:
- Migraine Support Formula – This formula combines the natural power of herbs, minerals and fortified vitamins to help stop the migraine symptoms and even cease the stirring of the migraine itself. Some of the ingredients include: Coenzyme Q10, Butterbur, Feverfew, Riboflavin and Magnesium Citrate.
- Prescription Medication – Triptans and Ergots are the primary prescription written for migraine headaches. Their singular focus is to constrict the blood vessels to slow the flow of blood which has been theorized as a cause for migraine headaches. These drugs were designed first to help with high blood pressure and not intended for migraines. Therefore, you have a risk involved when taking them as they, especially Ergots, constrict the blood vessels around the heart and could cause stroke or heart attack. I recommend that you contact your primary care physician and consult on this fact to see if Triptans or Ergots will be the best migraine treatment option for you.

Hey, I have had migrains frvoeer. I always get them with my seizures. It is okay to take extra Excedren however if you take it too often you can develope ulcers as it contains whatever that drug is. It can also cause ulcers to bleed, so be carefull. Avoid bright lights and the television when you are getting a migrian. It is also time to talk to your doctor. You need to be safe and make sure there is no underlying cause. Also, the doc can perscribe imitrex or some such medicine to take when you get a headach, or a preventative medicine like topomax, although it has some rough side effects. In the meantime my advise is what my neuro tells me avoide the c’s .. caffine, chardinae (all alchohol for that matter, it constricts the blood vessels), cheese, and chinesee food. For whatever reason each of these things can cause or worsen migrains. I know how much they suck, so good luck.
