Migraine Information Overload
A migraine develops in the brain. A migraine causes the blood vessels in the brain to begin to expand. The expanding of the blood vessels causes intense throbbing and pounding sensations in the head. As the blood vessels expand, they begin to release a harmful chemical into the brain and the released chemical begins to attack the brains arteries releasing all sorts of pain and misery. Migraine symptoms move from bad to worse in a matter of days making it difficult to focus and function.
Migraine causes are still unknown but research has led to the uncovering of migraine triggers. Migraine triggers are factors that play a role in the onset of a migraine. Triggers can be environmental and or physiological in nature such as hormonal and or weather related. Treating migraines must be done carefully and cautiously so speaking with a medical professional might be a wise first step.
