Compromising is not something I have ever been very good at, I am a strong believer in getting what I want and knowing that what I want is what’s best. This self righteous attitude would plummet once I began to develop migraine headaches. When I first started getting migraines, I explained them away saying that it must be the result of an overworked schedule and an uncomfortable bed; but when I started making changes in my work schedule to accommodate a better sleeping pattern, I ruled out the lack of sleep but held to my excuse of a poor fitting bed. I finally had to admit once a new mattress and bed frame was purchased that my migraines had nothing to do with my sleeping arrangements and something was going to need to be done and done soon.
After much prodding, I finally started to look at my treatment options. There were several treatment options that seemed to take up a lot of time and time was not something I
had a lot of so I started to contemplate the use of prescription medications as my number one migraine treatment option. The more I began to investigate the simple use of prescription medications such as antidepressants, blood pressure pills and migraine medication known as triptans the more appealing medications seemed to be. In the hope of finding a medication to help relieve my migraines, I began to read up on the side effects that could come with the use of migraine medications such as the ones listed. Educating me on the drugs used to treat migraines and the side effects that the drugs bring was the wisest thing I ever did.
Side Effect Free
Side effects that come with the use of prescription medications helped give me a better understanding of what I may be in for if I were to use such medications. Natural migraine alternative seemed to me to be the better solution so I began to research possible migraine treatments that were natural and side effect free. For those who may be on the fence about migraine treatment, the following list can help you make a more informed decision before agreeing to medications that may alter you thinking and emotional wellbeing.
