Many different individuals from all walks of life are unfortunately well introduced to migraine attacks and the havoc that is created in their lives when one happens to hit in full force. Migraine attacks are not like a normal headache that one can just take a simple over the counter medication and brush off while getting back to whatever task it at hand, a migraine headache or attack will often completely incapacitate the individual who is unlucky enough to be victim to them. By general definition a migraine is defined as a severe, pulsating headache, often associated with autonomic symptoms and typically unilateral (only affecting one of half of the head), usually lasting from four to seventy two hours. Symptoms can include blurred vision, dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, as well as sensitivity to light and sound.
