The stage of the migraine process that most people want to avoid is the head pain or headache stage. It is for this stage that migraines are feared and a cure sought for. This is not just any head pain that can be squelched with a few aspirin or some other analgesic medication; the pain is unilateral and throbbing in nature. Unilateral means that the pain is focused on one side of the head which is a big indicator that you are experiencing a migraine and not just a headache. Nausea and even vertigo can take place because of the overwhelming pain. In the Migraine Support Formula, there are two ingredients which can help with the pain and reduce some of the swelling of the blood vessels: Butterbur, Ginger and White Willow Bark Extract.
Butterbur
Butterbur is a plant that can be found in and around marshes or wetland areas. It has bee primarily uses as a pain reliever and can naturally lower the swelling in body, especially the blood vessels and nerves which become inflamed. Butterbur root, where the headache-stopping properties are the most concentrated, currently approved by the American Headache Society as a proper treatment for migraine headaches. However, don’t take butterbur strait as long term unbalanced doses can cause liver damage. Thankfully, the migraine support formula has just the right amount to knock out the migraine without any long term damage.
Ginger
Ginger root is a common beverage at many parties throughout the U.S. in the form of Ginger Ale; this is the most common form of ginger known to most people. Yet this Southeast Asian herb has been used to calm nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal issues.
White Willow Bark Extract
This herbal extract has been used for years as a natural way to stop the pain experienced by a migraine headache. Some scientists and doctors have even extracted the tincture directly from the bark on the tree. White Willow Bark can relieve muscle and joint pain and it can also reduce fevers when needed. White Willows are found originally in Europe and Asia because of the temperate climate that the White Willow demands.
