Dennis the Menace is a beloved little boy who can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble. Everything Dennis does regardless of how hard he tries seems to turn into some type of catastrophe. His neighbor does no particularly enjoy Dennis’s antics and often complains about the mischievousness’ of his overly active neighbor. I often wonder what it would be like to be the mother of a child that is so mischievous and accident prone; I often contemplate how many migraine headaches I would have in a given month as a result of my son’s antics.
If you have ever had to endure a migraine attack, then you know how miserable one can be and how even the thought of a migraine can send a migraine prone individual into a complete panic. There are several common mistakes or myths about migraines that people have and it is because of these myths or mistakes that a person is left unprepared and unprotected when a migraine attacks. If there is one thing that you do not want to do, that is to leave yourself unprotected from a migraine attack. Migraine headaches are very painful and can last up to three days.
Neurological Concern
Migraines and Denis the Menace have something in common and that is they are both sneaky. The development of a migraine occurs over a period of days so it often goes unnoticed producing symptoms that are easily disguised as something else. As a migraine develops, changes in the brain begin to take place causing a neurological concern. The blood vessels in the brain begin to expand and enlarge forcing painful sensations in the head to begin to be felt at a certain point.
As the blood vessels enlarge, so does the pain levels; over time the migraine pain can become so severe that the patient is unable to do much of anything. Migraine treatment can be found through one of two approaches.
Prescription medications such as antidepressants, blood pressure pills, anti-seizure medicine and triptans can help reduce migraine frequency and migraine pain but do come with a long list of side effects and warning.
Natural migraine treatment is a safe way to relieve migraine pain without risking one’s health. There are several options such as acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic care and or the use of an herbal supplement like the Migraine Support Formula.
