Whenever you are presented with a dilemma it is important to have solutions available to help lessen the anxiety that comes with facing a dilemma. What are the most common types of dilemma’s that a person or people face on a regular basis? The most common dilemma would be either financial and or physical. When a physical dilemma is the issue of reoccurring migraines than the dilemma is prolonged and beyond frustrating due to the symptoms a migraine headache can bring.
The problem with a migraine dilemma is that headaches and migraines are often mistaken for each other and it is important that the two be distinctly differentiated from one another. A headache and a migraine are not the same thing though most people are unsure of what the difference is. Migraine headaches have very distinct symptoms and development whereas a headache is rather ordinary. A headache has little to no symptoms outside the mild head pain felt on either side of the temple. Migraines on the other hand have several symptoms that make them stand apart from headaches. The symptoms of a migraine would include nausea, vomiting, constipation, blurred vision and even bouts of confusion. Migraine attacks take a few days to manifest whereas a headache can attack at any given moment.
More Distinctions
Further distinctions would include development, placement and treatment. Headaches are often felt on both sides of the head where as a migraine is felt unilaterally. The pain of a headache is described as a pulsating sensation and migraine pain is complained as a pounding or throbbing feeling. Treating a headache is rather simple and not very complex. The simple use of over the counter medications can help provide a huge amount of headache relief in a short period of time whereas a migraine is not so easily treated or relieved.
Treating migraines takes careful thought and cooperative effort between the migraine patient and his or her physician. Migraine headaches can last up to three long miserable days and cause symptoms so debilitating that it becomes a challenge for the migraine patient to even remain upright.
