Giants in fairytales are Big and often scary to little children, as an adult we know the difference between fairytale and reality so something such as a giant does not scare us or cause alarm. Though monsters in fairytales might not cause an emotion such as fear within adults, there are those situations that can arise in our adult life that do stir-up emotions such as fear, worry and concern.
The most common worry or fear that an adult has would probably be health related. It is a scary thought to be diagnosed with a chronic condition of which there is no known cure.
