Timing is everything and the right timing can help make things progress more smoothly, lessen discord and help resolve migraine pain. Migraine headaches can be a very bothersome thing; in fact a migraine headache can cripple an individual for several days if a migraine treatment is not properly timed. The timing of a migraine cannot be planned however, there are several symptoms or signs that can alert an individual that a migraine is looming off in the distance and treatment should be implemented in order to avoid further complications.
A migraine prone individual must learn how to read his or her body and decipher the various preemptive warning signs to avoid a long migraine attack. Preemptive warning signs can be easily missed due to their normality so the migraine patient must be in tune with his or her body so as not to miss the red flags or warning signs. The preemptive warning signs develop or show up during the first of four migraine stages; it is during this first migraine stage that no head pain is had only the following symptoms:
- Extreme Fatigue
- Obsessive Yawning
- Food Cravings
- Bouts Of Depression / Irritability
Preventative Migraine Treatment
Preventative migraine treatment is the only avenue by which migraine relief can and will be had. Taking a preventative treatment will not guarantee that a migraine attack will not occur, but it can decrease the chance of frequent migraine attacks. Preventative treatments are only effective if they are implemented during the first migraine stage, making it important that those suffering from chronic migraines have a migraine treatment plan already in place before an attack take place.
Preventative treatments can come in two approaches.
- Prescription Medication
- Holistic / Natural Treatment
Both of the treatments listed can be effective but it is up to the migraine patient to choose which treatment approach is a good fit for him or her. Prescription medications can cause side effects which for some are a deal breaker, the natural or holistic approach to migraine treatment is a safe one to use with little to no adverse side effects. Preventative Migraine Treatments would include the following:
- Prescription Medications
- Acupuncture
- Massage Therapy
- Physiological Therapy
- Chiropractic Care
- Herbal Supplements
