There are things in life that hit you like a ton of bricks. If your wife told you she doesn’t love you anymore and it’s over, this would hit you hard, especially if you thought all was O.K. Everyone has their breaking point but it seems like those who suffer from the neurological / vascular condition, known as migraine headaches, have to develop a greater tolerance for pain and other annoying symptoms such as: nausea, dizziness, loss of cognitive reasoning, constipation, vertigo, vomiting, loss of some motor functions, fatigue, blurred vision, blindness in one eye and of course, the intense, throbbing, unilateral, overwhelming pain. Now for the bad news, there is no cure for migraine headaches at this time. The only relief that a migraine sufferer can have is by avoiding migraine triggers and using a migraine treatment on a regular basis.
Oh, To Be Catalyzed
A migraine is catalyzed by a migraine trigger; these triggers are mostly environmental or physiological in nature and should be avoided when at all possible. Here are some of the known triggers; look and see if you can relate: hunger, weather changes, smells like perfume or body odor, certain foods, caffeine, alcohol, humidity, stress, fatigue, lack of sleep or too much, bright light, loud noises and even back / neck tension. These trigger should be but can’t always be avoided due to life responsibilities. Once a trigger is encountered, blood vessels in the brain begin to enlarge and expand causing a chemical to be released into the brain. This chemical will attack the arteries in the brain causing the intense and unbearable pain associated with migraines. Millions of Americans suffer from migraine headaches each year; making migraine headaches the number one reason for people missing work from being sick.
Relief
Since there is no cure, relief from the migraine symptoms can only found by taking a migraine treatment. There are many migraine treatments available to the sufferer so please consult with your primary care physician to determine which migraine treatment option is best for you. Here are some of your choices: acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic adjustment, prescription meds like Triptans or Ergots and even a natural remedy such as the Migraine Support Formula.
