Parents often say that their children have selective hearing, however even adults can have difficulty listening. The difficulty listening that will be discussed in this article has to do with how carefully a person listens or does not listen to his or her own body when it is trying to communicate with it. The body is a system designed to self-treat, however there are those times when the body begins to malfunction somewhat and it needs added care. When situations like this occur the body begins to alert its owner to the issue, the problem is the owner is not always listening.
There are many reasons why a person tunes out the voice of their body, one reason and possibly the most common reason has to do with time. Time is a precious thing and often we stay so busy that we do not take the time to stop and listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us. Another reason that we turn a deaf ear may have to do with fear. Fear of something being seriously wrong might be a deterrent from seeking answers to what our body is saying. As you can see, there are many possible answers to the problem at hand, you might even be thinking of more as you read this.
Regardless of the reason that is preventing you from listening to your body, there will come a time when you need to get over you reason and start listening, especially those who are suffering with chronic migraines. Chronic migraines can sneak up on a person and then leave that person suffering with migraine misery for several days unless something can be done to prevent the attack from becoming too severe.
Preemptive Warning Signs
Those who choose to not hear when their body is talking often have this idea that their migraine sneaks up on them or comes somewhere from left field when in fact a migraine gives plenty warning signs. The preemptive warning signs that come with a migraine often show up several days before any head pain, the problem is that these symptoms are often missed. Once a chronic migraine patient learns the various warning signs, he or she can implement a preventative treatment at the first sign of them.
- Extreme Fatigue
- Obsessive Yawning
- Food Cravings
- Increased Irritability
- Bouts Of Depression
