There are many different approaches to successfully treating migraine headaches, and the use of prescription medications does not always have to be the route of choice. Because many prescription medications cause negative side effects or can become habit forming, many sufferers of migraine headaches are choosing alternative options for finding relief from their migraine headaches. The following options can be used successfully to help provide relief from migraine headaches, and all do so without the risk of becoming habit forming and without causing any negative side effects:

• Massage Therapy – lastly another option for relieving migraine headaches can comet though the use of massage therapy. Massage can be especially helpful in the migraine headaches are triggered by tension and/or stress. Massage therapists are trained to work and massage the muscles around the head, neck, shoulders, as well as back in order to help increase blood flow, oxygenation, and to help relieve muscle tension.
