Debilitating Symptoms
Pain that coincides with a migraine is severe and can force a person out of commission for several days. The reason migraine symptoms and migraine pain is so severe is due to the chemical changes that occur in the brain while a migraine develops. The blood vessels in the brain expand / enlarge causing the release of harmful chemicals into the brain. The harmful chemicals that have been released into the brain begin to attack the brains arteries and causing severe debilitating migraine symptoms to occur.
Migraine symptoms can range from mild head pain to severe nausea and induced vomiting. Knowing the symptoms and progression of a migraine is important to coping with the attack with as little discomfort as possible. The early symptoms of a migraine begin with nothing more than insomnia, food cravings and increased irritability. As the migraine progresses, worse symptoms develop.
