If there is one thing that a migraine headache can do, it is knock a person out of commission for several days. A migraine headache and the way a migraine develops have the power and the ability to limit a person’s ability to focus and function. When a migraine headache is on the brink or surfacing, the tentative migraine patient begins the slow withdrawal into hiding. A migraine headache is when the blood vessels in the brain begin to expand; the expanding of the blood vessels causes severe throbbing or pounding in the head. The enlarging of the blood vessels causes the release of a harmful chemical into the brain.
