There are days in a person’s life when everything seems to be running at high speed and nothing is making sense all anyone wants to do is push the escape button and close out of all the chaos. Life is busy and chaotic enough without adding the stress and frustration of a migraine headache as well. Migraine headaches are one of the most painful and frustrating events in a person’s life. A migraine attack can develop at any given time and leave a person suffering with head pain so intense that their brain is unable to compute or process anything going on around them.
Migraine headaches affect more than twenty million men and women each year and without an effective migraine treatment chronic migraine sufferers could suffer with head pain for fifteen days out of the month – a miserable existence. When a migraine develops, it affects the blood vessels in the brain; it causes them to enlarge and release a harmful chemical into the brain. The released chemical begins to torment the brains arteries that in return begin to spur on further and more painful and debilitating symptoms such as:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Constipation
- Blurred Vision
- Diarrhea
- Cognitive Confusion
Personal Affect
Migraine symptoms such as these make it impossible to function at a normal pace. The head pain can become so intense that bouts of confusion could occur making too difficult to decipher information and communicate it the information back. An increase of sensitivity to light and sound only add to the confusion that is already going on in the head. Most migraine sufferers are unable to work or manage household responsibilities as a result of their miserable migraine. A migraine treatment plan is the best form of relief when it comes to dealing with a migraine headache. There is no known migraine cure therefore something else must be done to assist with the pain.
Migraine treatment can consist of prescription medications and or natural migraine treatments. Natural migraine treatments if used and chosen correctly can be just as effective as prescription medications just minus all the side effects.
